DOCUMENTS NEEDED FOR TEACHING ENGLISH OVERSEAS

You will be required to attain certain documents for teaching English and visas. There are some variations of the visa process for different countries and some documents may differ. Here is a general overview of documents needed for teaching English overseas:

 

1. Valid passport. At least 6 months on validity. I recommend at least a year or longer.
2. University diploma.
3. A copy of TEFL/TESOL or CELTA certificate (if applicable)
4. 2-4 official sealed University transcripts
5. 2-4 Passport size photos.
6. Resume
7. One completed visa application form

 

Depending on which country you teach in you should need the following documents as well:

 

8. Medical check
9. Criminal background check
10. Visa number, issued after your application and other documents are sent
